ITRM minutes of meeting with Linda at IML office, UTS on 4 March 2009 @ 11:00 AM

I met Linda and then got a sense as to where I needed to go. I will post the important dates and notifications separately.


Topic: Information Architecture with respect to digital media (mobile website)

Important questions to answer

1. What do Information Architects actually aim to do?
2. How and what do they learn of their job?
3. Why IAs are not at the apex of developing the project pipeline?
4. How does information architecture differs with respect to digital technology, whether for website design or mosite design and built architecture design and other design professions such fashion and interior?
5. What are the different names given to IAs job and profession?
6. Determine what sought of method (qualitative or quantitative)to be adopted to establish outcome and determine the research benefits.
7. Make the literature review and then establish the gaps to determine where we need to research further?
8. Determine why the research is necessary.

Note: complete literature review by the first six weeks of semester say by last week of March or Ist week of April 2009.

Things to do:
1. Prepare blog: blogger or wordpress
2. Look at ozchi.org
3. Look at ACM digital library to look for latest conferences (paper)
4. A good research proposal consists of literature review as to synthesise the information not simply paraphrase it.
